Description
Contexte de la mission
TTE requires assistance for Company Representatives (hydrographic/geologist specialist) for the conduct of a Shallow Geochemical Exploration campaign in deep offshore Liberia.
Mission to start 1st of April 2026 (exact date to be confirmed) for a duration of 60 days on a rotation basis (vessel crew change) within the Liberia SGE project frame, offshore Liberia.
Objectifs et livrables
Leg#1: Seabed imagery
Equipment :
• Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) full coverage processed for bathymetry, backscattering and Water Column Imaging (WCI)
• Sub Bottom Profiler for each sailing line – additional short lines on particular coring targets may be requested
Objectives:
• Identify seabed geomorphologies potentially related to natural seepages
• Measure the water depth variations and slope changes within the investigation perimeter
• Investigate the morphology and the reflectivity of the seabed
• Visualise the water column to detect gas plume and seepages from the seabed
• Characterize shallow geological conditions at seepages location
• Geophysical data interpretation shall be done in pseudo real time to select coring targets for Leg#2 in coordination with exploration team in Head Quarter
Leg#2: Seabed sampling and Heat Flow measurements
Equipment:
• Kullenberg coring & USBL
• Heat flow probe & USBL
Objectives: Supervision of :
•seabed samples acquisition via piston/Kullenberg coring devices; 20 locations anticipated
• Geochemical sampling, with laboratory-grade conditioning procedure
• Heat flow measurements; 20 locations anticipated
Provide supervision report
