Description
Company Representative and geophysicist specialist for the conduct of a Geophysical UXO & UHRS survey in France.
French work permit mandatory.
UXO Geophysical Survey:
Equipment:
·UXO Geophysical Corridors covered with GRAD, MBES, SSS & SBP
·ALARP Clearance Certificates, located at the best suited location within the UXO Geophysical Box (full data coverage, no pUXO, no magnetic masking, etc…)
UHRS Geophysical Survey:
Equipment:
·Ultra High-Resolution Seismic (UHRS)
·Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES)
·Side Scan Sonar (SSS)
·Sub-bottom Profiler (SBP)
·Magnetometer (MAG)
Objectives:
Required skills:
The proposed Supervisor / Company Representative must have demonstrated expertise in UHRS, GRAD, MBES, SSS, SBP and MAG data acquisition, QC and processing.
Being fluent in French is preferable (but not mandatory).
Planning:
Total operations at sea: ~30 days (including estimated weather)
Acquisition of Gradiometer (GRAD), Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES), Side Scan Sonar (SSS), Sub-Bottom Profiler (SBP) and UHRS data.
UXO Scope: UXO Geophysical corridors with GRAD, MBES, SSS & SBP; and issuance of ALARP Clearance Certificates
UHRS Scope: Acquisition of ~950 km of UHRS and SBP data, and associated MBES, SSS & MAG corridors
The proposed Supervisor / Company Representative must have demonstrated expertise in UHRS, GRAD, MBES, SSS, SBP and MAG data acquisition, QC and processing.
During the UXO Geophysical Survey, two ScanFish will be deployed to acquire UXO corridors. The Company Rep. will be responsible for validating equipment calibration during Mobilisation, SIT trial and data acquisition. He will also be involved in the definition of the ALARP locations along UXO corridors (full data coverage, no pUXO, no seabed obstructions), together with the operator and UXO consultant. Particular attention should be paid to acquisition issues related to currents and weather conditions.
During the UHRS Geophysical Survey, he will ensure that the data quality is satisfactory, and be proactive in assisting with the acquisition strategy, should acquisition issues arise due to current, weather, or any other unforeseen conditions.
Being fluent in French is preferable.
French work permit mandatory.
- Offshore Medical Certificate
- BOSIET CA-EBS + HUET
- Other internal trainings shall apply upon recruitment.
