The Offshore Pipeline (Contractor DW reel-lay vessel) AUT Inspector will oversee the reporting staff assigned to and onboard the vessel and report directly to the Offshore Pipeline QC Lead. During the installation phase of MZ LNG project, Offshore Pipeline AUT Inspector will assist the Quality Control Lead with technical appraisal and supervision of the pipelay campaign operations. The scope of work will particularly focus on the installation of the 22” pipe and welding activities and AUT inspection.

During the installation phase of MZ LNG project, Offshore Pipeline AUT Inspector will assist the Quality Control Lead with technical appraisal and supervision of the pipelay campaign operations. The scope of work will particularly focus on the installation of the 22” pipe and welding activities and AUT inspection.
Activities
- • Review all AUT (PAUT, TOFD) scanner
- • Witness all Welding inspection activities during installation of offshore referring to ITP
- • Supporting and interacting with Welding Inspector during the welding inspection
- • Review final release inspection pipeline and Test Packages, mechanical completion (ITR),
- • Witness Hydro test or pneumatic test (if necessary)
- • Review report and final dossier documentation prior CTR submission
- • Raise, monitor, support Quality Lead to close NCRs ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions
- • Supporting on punch list identification
- • Contribute to lesson learned of the project and close-out report.
- • US $20 Billion investment, 17,000-acre LNG facility site that includes private airstrip, marine facilities, and 18 subsea wells - 5-year construction period, utilizing a staff of 1500+ employees and contractors based in Houston, Milan, Paris, Singapore and Mozambique
- • Mozambique LNG is a subsea (1,400m) to shore dry gas field development located in the norther part of Mozambique with 12.88 MTPA from 2 Initial Trains - 25-year production period
- • The subsea field will be developed via 18 subsea wells, 7-production manifolds, 1-MEG manifold, 3 x 22in trunk lines, a 6in and 8in MEG lines, 18 x 10in in-field flowlines, 2 x 4in in-field MEG lines, associated ILTs and PLETs for all pipelines, 25 control modules, 4 onshore umbilical, 2 main tie-back umbilical, 5 in-field umbilical, 12 UTA assemblies, 189 electro hydraulic flying leads, 48 x 10” flexible jumpers, rigid jumpers and spools.
- • Good quality execution of the installation campaigns during the execution of AUT activity before pipe deployment
- • Ensuring the execution of the job on time and Quality respecting the Safety requirement
- • Ensure that Contractor activities are following Project Standard and Specification Qualifications/Experience required
- • Certified CSWIP or similar minimum level 2 AUT interpreter and NDTs ISO 9712 is a plus with a minimum 15 years in Oil & Gas industry with related offshore technical, quality and HSE oversight experience and at least 10 years of offshore pipelay installation.
- • Ability to work well in high-stress, fast paced environment with others in an international and multi-cultural environment
- • Ability to multi-task and work as part of small and flexible team and manage interfaces between multiple contractors.
- • Onboard vessel experience in inspecting offshore installation contractors.
- Fluency in the English language. Current BOSIET and OGUK Medical certification prior to mobilizing offshore.
