| 16/07/2026 | Francois Letournel | He doesn’t have a firm project yet but they have lots of project work coming and this person will drive one project working with one of the vessels under his jurisdiction. Needs a senior/lead installation engineer, experienced in flexible, umbilical, and lifting operations. He is dealing with 3 construction vessels (Africa, Deepstar and Coral Du Atlantic) and he needs someone who has the experience to manage an installation project for one of their clients with one of these vessels. | TFMC Portugal is an engineering centre. This role will entail 1 year of preparatory engineering from Lisbon with some travel to site intermittently. Then will go offshore to execute and deliver the offshore scope, could be another up to 6 months on a rotation basis. | ||
| EPC Subsea experience is mandatory - we are looking for candidates working for clients such as Subsea7, McDermott & Saipem on subsea installation operations. | ||
| Long term contract on an annual renewable basis. They only have visibility for 1 year but there is a good chance the role will move through into other projects after this one and so for the right candidate this is a long term opportunity. | ||
| English language mandatory, French and/or portuguese as a plus. | ||
| This is a new role highlighted within his team given the volume of work he has received recently. Project locaitons will include Africa (Angola or Mozambique), Brasil & the North Sea. The person could be appointed on any onf of these projects. | ||
| The role will be daily rate but he has no idea of the numbers. He advised me to speak to HQ. I have already asked them but it is unlikely we will get given a rate. We will need to test the market and advise on candidate expectations. |

- We need to have a local partner to assume the local compliance in Portugal – at this stage we do not have one
- Unknow NTM or Daily rate for this position and for contractor
- Nationalities to be proposed will impact the daily rate and the proposed employment contract :
- French or European : french seconded contract
- International workers : not possible – work permit will be required
- We had discussions with a company based in Paris – Phil’s Expat
- This opportunity was lost because of the submitted prices and the scheme
