Core duties and responsibilities:
 Real time geological surveillance and interpretation, integrated to drilling:
  • Monitor and interpret cuttings, mud gas, LWD/MWD, and wireline data in real time
- Identify formation tops, lithology changes, and hydrocarbon shows
  • Correlate actual geology with pre-drill models and seismic prognosis
- Detect abnormal pressures, faults, and drilling hazards (e.g. overpressure, instability, lost circulation, gas kicks)
  • Guide trajectory adjustments to stay within target reservoir zones
- Call phase TD and well TD when geologically stablished. Recommend for casing setting depths.
  • Call coring point.
- Optimise rate of penetration vs geology and real time acquisition sampling rate compliance for logs.
 Anticipation and supervision (equipment, personnel, activity, NPT) of services companies and operations under geoscience perimeter.
  • Mud logging
- Wire line and LWD
  • Coring
- Perform Audits, anticipate needs, follow up.
  • Execute the corresponding acquisitions programs related to each.
- Ensure the data quality, completeness and integration.
  • Samples handling and shipping (gas, cutting, mud, cores, rotary side wall cores, fluids samples from Wire line and DST, etc).
 HSE
  • Participate in risk assessments, safety meetings, stop card program and incident reporting.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and offshore regulations, for himself and the companies under his/her perimeter.
