Position Title
Workshop Supervisor – Drilling Division

Job Summary
The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for leading the technical maintenance and overhaul activities for drilling rig equipment, Top end/Major overhauls Caterpillar diesel engines and Machinery (Forklifts/River Pump unit/Fire pump etc.) overseeing a team of technicians and junior mechanics.
This role requires a strong foundation in oilfield equipment and engine diagnostics, hands-on troubleshooting, and a passion for training and developing junior personnel to independent competency levels.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate daily workshop maintenance activities for drilling equipment, machinery, engines and pumps
• Diagnose fault and root cause, Top/Major overhaul as per OEM standard, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on rig equipment.
• Develop and implement training plans for junior mechanics, ensuring their progression to independent operational ability.
• Plan and allocate workforce, tools, and spare parts for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and according to company maintenance and safety procedures.
• Review technical manuals and drawings to guide service interventions.
• Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance logs, and equipment records in CMMS.
• Foster a safety-first, results-oriented workshop culture.
• Follow and track assigned reports, spare parts and procedures.

Workshop Supervisor Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
• Minimum 10 years’ oilfield maintenance experience, with specific expertise in drilling rig equip-ment.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of Top/Major overhauls on Caterpillar diesel engines (3500, 3400, C-series preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, service bulletins, hydraulic/pneumatic sche-matics, and equipment manuals.
• Previous experience supervising and developing workshop teams in the oil & gas sector.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Engine Technology, or related discipline.
• Caterpillar OEM training or certification highly desirable.
