The job holder is a part of the company FOPS site team and will report directly to the Lead Mechanical Engineer
Implement all Condition Based Maintenance for Tilenga site
Participate to the implementation of digital tools used as part of CBM
Support the mechanical maintenance activities, including a central processing facility and 29 Well pads and LPG extraction, including: 4 x 21Mw GTG, 29 Recip Compressors, 4 Centrifugal Compress, 29 API610 Oil export and Water Injection Pumps...
Ensure that the operational maintenance activities linked to CBM are properly executed in terms of quality, efficiency and according to safety procedures.
Ensure that all resources (tools, equipment, spare parts) are in place to minimize operational risk and ensure highest efficiency.
Assistance to the Commissioning/start up teams and Production/Maintenance/Inspection COMPANY teams as required.
Reporting line in organization: Lead Mechanical Engineer
Activities:
Provide guidance and support to Jr Engineers within the discipline team.
Support the mechanical staff of the Tilenga site to provide Mechanical expertise and technical support to resolve any mechanical problems related to equipment followed with CBM.
Specialist for Condition Based Maintenance, he will develop the methodology to follow equipment condition
Write CBM all relevant operations and maintenance procedures for CBM and ensure they are maintained in an accurate and status and are available on site.
Contribute to backlog reduction implementing CBM methods allowing to reduce preventive activities at site and visits to Well Pads (Unmanned sites)
Assistance to the Commissioning/start up teams and Production/Maintenance CPY teams as required.
Proactively monitor equipment and provide feedback, identifying opportunities to maximize production and performance and share best practice.
Take an active role in the implementation of digital tools for maintenance (OneCBM, RAID, Additive Manufacturing…)
Participate to the development of all dashboards for maintenance to be used in Smart Room
Develop all tools to follow up the performances of main rotating equipment and analyze and prepare reports related to equipment performance improvements proposals.
Responsible to trigger all maintenance action based on CBM findings
Develop and implement the lubrication oil monitoring strategy (Oil sampling, analysis…)
Participate to the implementation of condition based maintenance for other trades(IMS,electrical thermography…)
Prepare the monthly CBM report
Work in close relationship with Smart Room and site
Can conduct ad-hoc technical surveys at site providing technical reports identifying problems and solutions and ensuring optimum performance from on contractors.
Assist Site Team to investigate equipment failures and outages.
Participate to maintain good working relationships within the Mechanical team through effective communication.
Identify opportunities to improve contractor / supplier performance and improve the quality of services / products supplied.
Context and environment:
There is no equivalent project of such an industrial drilling magnitude in a remote and sensitive area within the Company today.The Tilenga oilfields are partly situated in a protected National Park, partly beneath the river Nile wetlands area, and within densely populated area in a rural and remote part of Uganda. Activities exposed to the risk of major incidents with severe potential consequences due to local environment and important presence of NGOs. Factory Drilling with a well delivered every 4 days using 3 drilling rigs simultaneously will necessitate standardization of equipment and procedures, strict enforcement of Drilling & Well instructions, safe and efficient logistic management on site. The project is focused on delivering the lowest possible cost, which requires challenging TotalEnergies design concepts as well as substantially challenging the TotalEnergies referential.Multicultural environment: Contractors are anticipated to be in various parts of the world. Ugandan rules and regulations, administrative requirements and technical authorizations as well as international codes for onshore plant will apply.
Accountabilities:
Ensure highest safety standards and continuity and optimization of production
Demonstrate personal commitment to the HSE Policy, maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Company HSE standards, actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.
Provide all aspects of engineering/technical support and assistance to site-based teams
Develop and maintain productive and constructive relationships with site-based personnel, office operations/technical teams and external contractors/vendors
Identify and adopt creative and alternative approaches to problem-solving and encourage this practice
Ensure highest efficiency in maintenance program, planning and intervention in Mechanical discipline
Create an environment in which a focus on value awareness is developed and constantly think in terms of cost/benefit trade-off.
Assist the Commissioning Manager until start-up to ensure compliance with the project objectives throughout the life of the project.Qualifications/Experience requiredQualification: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or equivalent in relevant discipline.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience as mechanical/Static engineer in petroleum & gas industry in operations and/or projects
Good knowledge of codes and standards related to standards related to Mechanical discipline (API,ISO..)
Good knowledge of TOTAL General Specifications
Good interpersonal and organizational skills as well as a good level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
