JOB TITLE: VENUS SURF FLOWLINE LEAD
POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION
Location: SURF EPCI Contractor office
Reporting to: Venus SURF Technical Manager
MISSIONS
To be responsible for all flowline, rigid spools and rigid jumpers) engineering activities related to the Venus project, for the SURF
To supervise all flowlines, rigid spools and rigid jumpers work performed by the parties involved in the project: third party engineering contractor(s), and SURF EPCI Contractor
To support and provide necessary inputs to other parties within the Project: Field Operation team as well as other SURF team members (Riser Lead, Subsea Structures Design Lead, TCP Lead, Installation Manager, flow assurance engineer, etc…)
Supervise a dedicated rigid spool and rigid jumper design engineer
ACTIVITIES
To ensure adequate execution and supervision of all flowlines, spools and jumpers and their associated mitigations studies
To follow-up flowlines, spools and jumpers design work performed by third party engineering contractor(s), SURF EPCI Contractor during the execution phase of the project
To ensure timely issuance of all flowlines, spools and jumpers design deliverables by other parties or internally (including the system engineering scope such as subsea layouts, PFDs and P&IDs, etc…)
To ensure all flowlines, spools and jumpers studies comply with COMPANY’s requirements and Project specifications
To highlight immediately any deviation and inadequate designs and outcomes of studies
To perform studies, analyses and verifications, as well as Abaqus and/or Orcaflex simulation (or other internal tools) as and when required
To support the SURF and SPS technical teams
To support as and when required the SURF and SPS Technical and mangers and Interface leads and the SURF package manager
To gather lessons learned and provide feedback to TotalEnergies entities when necessary, and contribute to project close-out report
Support all the project fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning activities
May join the operation team and participate in some of the onshore fabrication activities and the offshore pipe laying activities
HSE ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhere to and promote Project HSE culture and Policies
Report anomalies, incidents, near misses
Demonstrate leadership in HSE behaviors, implementation and reporting
Shall comply with TotalEnergies' HSE programs (Golden Rules, Our lifes First…)
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
The Venus field is an ultra‑deepwater project at roughly 3,000 m water depth, designed to produce 160,000 bbl./d of oil through two subsea production rings, and to re-inject produced gas through two dedicated gas injection lines. The development includes up to 38 subsea wells tied back to the FPSO, and a large subsea umbilical system.
International and multi-cultural environment.
Many suppliers locations, several fabrication sites worldwide and large fleet of installation vessels
Position permanently based at SURF EPCI Contractor office.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Flowlines, rigid spools and rigid jumpers design engineer with strong Abaqus and/or Orcaflex experience.
Experience in similar positions (years): 10 at same or equivalent position with strong experience in deepwater oil projects, buckling/walking mitigations. Flowline and spools/jumpers installation analysis would be a plus.
Experience with Total systems and specifications, and code DNV
Level / Diploma: Engineer
Languages: English mandatory, with good communication skills; ability to work in a multicultural environment.
