| The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is a Midstream development located across Uganda and Tanzania that includes a nearshore Marine Storage and Export Terminal (MST). Once completed, the EACOP Company will operate the East African Crude Oil Pipeline, a 1,443 km long, electrically heated crude oil export pipeline that transports oil from Kabaale - Hoima in Uganda, to the Chongoleani Peninsula near Tanga Port in Tanzania for crude export to the international markets. |

| -Rotation: 2 people for one position working 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off (12 hours/day) -Start-up support engineer for pipeline and all EACOP stations -Assists the Terminal and Pipeline SU Leads with preparation and review of commissioning and start-up documentation and be the focal point for planning and progress follow-up / reporting -Initially based in Dar Es Salaam, high mobility on EACOP ROW during commissioning / start-up period |
| Duties & Responsibilities |
| In accordance with policies and procedures in place in EACOP, The Start-Up Methods & Support Engineer is responsible for: (During Construction / Project Phase): Core activities: ØBecoming familiar with the project documentation (Safety concept, Operating philosophy, Operating Manual, Cause-and-effect diagrams, etc.). ØAssist in updating operating manual and start-up procedures with EACOP Project Commissioning team assistance ØStart-up strategy development participation: sequence, schedule, organization, mobilization plan ØStart-up dossier preparation (including RFSU Certificates using Smart Completions platform) (During Commissioning / Start-up Phase): ØFollow-up commissioning activities with SU leads to ensure full availability. ØSupport FOPS start-up team for follow-up of site activities ØBe a back-up representative for Pipeline SU Lead when required at any location ØBe the focal point responsible for the follow-up of all RFSU documentation on behalf of the FOPS entity using Smart Completions commissioning database ØProvide regular feedback and official reports to EACOP Field Operations regarding commissioning & start-up progress ØPR4 audit preparation ØTo ensure the punch list clearance action plan is issued and validated. ØTo prepare formal hand-over of systems from Project to EACOP Field Operations |

| Qualifications / Experience Required: |
| Academic Qualifications: ·Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, petroleum, industrial, mechanical) with 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Experience Required: ·Main qualities required for the position: dynamism, autonomy, ability to communicate/convince, rigor, critical and analytical mind. ·Good level in English recommended. ·Coordination and communication skills. ·Knowledge of the equipment and processes used in the operation of petroleum facilities in Exploration and Production. ·Previous project, start-up, and site experience as a superintendent or senior operations supervisor |
