ituation in organization N+1 : Offshore Quality Control Lead N+2 : Upstream Quality Manager Job dimensions The Offshore Pipeline (Contractor DW reel-lay vessel) Coating Inspector will oversee the reporting staff assigned to and onboard the vessel and report directly to the Offshore Vessel QC Lead. During the installation phase of MZ LNG project, Offshore Pipeline Coating Inspector will assist the Quality Control Lead with technical appraisal and supervision of the pipelay campaign operations. The scope of work will particularly focus on the installation of the 22” pipe coating inspection following CTR approved ITP and Procedures.

- Inspect surface preparation, coating application and environmental conditions performing the final inspection, DFT measurements, adhesion test and holiday detection
- Review, verify inspection reports, quality records and final documentation dossiers prior to submission
- Raise, monitor and support Quality Lead to close NCRs ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions
- Ensuring all activities related to coating are executed safely in accordance with Project Safety Procedures, operational guidelines and regulatory Mozambican requirements.
- Supporting on punch list identification
- Contribute to lesson learned of the project.
- US $20 Billion investment, 17,000-acre LNG facility site that includes private airstrip, marine facilities, and 18 subsea wells - 5-year construction period, utilizing a staff of 1500+ employees and contractors based in Houston, Milan, Paris, Singapore and Mozambique
- Mozambique LNG is a subsea (1,400m) to shore dry gas field development located in the norther part of Mozambique with 12.88 MTPA from 2 Initial Trains - 25-year production period
- The subsea field will be developed via 18 subsea wells, 7-production manifolds, 1-MEG manifold, 3 x 22in trunk lines, a 6in and 8in MEG lines, 18 x 10in in-field flowlines, 2 x 4in in-field MEG lines, associated ILTs and PLETs for all pipelines, 25 control modules, 4 onshore umbilicals, 2 main tie-back umbilicals, 5 in-field umbilicals, 12 UTA assemblies, 189 electro hydraulic flying leads, 48 x 10” flexible jumpers, rigid jumpers and spools.
- Good quality execution of the installation campaigns during application of coating and surface preparation before pipe installation
- Ensuring the execution of the job on time and Quality respecting the Safety requirement.
- Ensure that Contractor activities are following Project Standard and Specification
- Certified minimum level 2 NACE or FROSIO, with a minimum 15 years in Oil & Gas industry with related offshore technical, quality and HSE oversight experience and at least 10 years of offshore pipelay installation.
- Ability to work well in high-stress, fast paced environment with others in an international and multi-cultural environment
- Ability to multi-task and work as part of small and flexible team and manage interfaces between multiple contractors.
- Onboard vessel experience in inspecting offshore installation contractors.
- Fluency in the English language. Current BOSIET and OGUK Medical certification prior to mobilizing offshore.
