POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION
Location: SPS EPFS Contractor office
Reporting to: Venus SPS Technical Manager
MISSIONS
• To be responsible for subsea system engineering and technical matters related to the Venus project.
• To supervise the system engineering activities with SPS EPFS Contractor, and support the procurement, fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning activities for Venus SPS equipment.
• To support and provide necessary inputs to other parties within the Project: SURF and FPSO teams and Field Operation team
ACTIVITIES
• Act in strict accordance with Company Ethics and Code of Conduct and promote application of the Anti-Corruption Programme.
• Ensure technical integrity, progress, fitness for purpose, and compliance of SPS engineering with Project, Company, contractual, and international requirements.
• Coordinate and manage SPS system engineering activities during execution, including interfaces with other project packages.
• Ensure timely issuance, review, challenge, and approve SPS Contractor and Supplier engineering deliverables.
• Review and validate ROV access studies, intervention philosophies, and associated SPS schematics to ensure operability, accessibility, and fitness for purpose.
• Review and close Contractor and Supplier technical queries, deviations, and derogation requests across all execution phases.
• Provide technical input to Contractor strategies and procedures for design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
• Support testing, qualification, installation preparation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and system handover activities.
• Monitor Contractor’s performance against technical, QA/QC, H3SE, and contractual requirements and report issues with mitigation proposals.
• Participate in Project safety and technical reviews, including HAZID, HAZOP, design, and constructability reviews.
• Support the SPS Technical Manager and SPS Manager on technical, execution, and contractual matters.
• Coordinate with SPS team members and Contract Engineers for correspondence, change management, and contractual follow-up.
• Capture and report lessons learned from SPS execution activities.
HSE ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure full compliance with H3SE&Q requirements and promote safe working practices across all SPS execution activities.
Adhere to and promote Project HSE culture and Policies
Report anomalies, incidents, near misses
Demonstrate leadership in HSE behaviors, implementation and reporting
Shall comply with TotalEnergies' HSE programs (Golden Rules, Our lifes First…)
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
The Venus field is an ultra deepwater project at roughly 3,000 m water depth, designed to produce 160,000 bbl./d of oil through two subsea production rings, and to re-inject produced gas through two dedicated gas injection lines. The development includes up to 38 subsea wells tied back to an FPSO, and a large subsea umbilical system.
International and multi-cultural environment.
Many suppliers locations, several fabrication, preparation / testing / servicing sites worldwide
Position permanently based at SPS EPFS Contractor Main office
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Master’s degree in engineering and strong experience in engineering for SPS Systems
Experience in similar positions (years): Recent and relevant experience working with a major SPS Contractor, covering the full execution lifecycle including detailed design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and offshore hookup and commissioning. Strong experience in detailed engineering and execution phases (procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, pre-commissioning) related to SPS systems with strong interfacing with SURF scope.
Experience with TotalEnergies systems and specifications
Level / Diploma: Engineer
Languages: English mandatory, with good communication skills; ability to work in a multicultural environment.
