MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS
The 3D Model Specialist ensures the integrity, operability, and maintainability of the FPSO’s digital plant representation throughout the EPSCC phases. Key missions include:
•Oversee the development and validation of the FPSO 3D model, ensuring alignment with project specifications and client requirements.
•Ensure the model supports constructability, inspection, maintenance, and operational accessibility.
•Coordinate progressive clash detection and resolution across disciplines.
•Participate during formal 3D model reviews at key milestones (30%, 60%, 90%).
•Guarantee the delivery of a complete, accessible, and documented as-built 3D model at project handover.
•Promote & comply in all activities with applicable safety instructions and other company HSE rules.
ACTIVITIES
The 3D Model Specialist is expected to perform the following activities:
•Review contractor deliverables including layout, access routes, mechanical handling paths, and safety features such as escape routes and firewater spray patterns
•Monitor and validate clash detection processes and ensure resolution of design inconsistencies throughout model evolution
•Participate in internal and joint model reviews with contractors and COMPANY experts, ensuring comments are addressed and closed
•Ensure tagging and metadata consistency across asset objects and support integration with engineering databases
•Provide feedback on operability and maintainability of piping and handling layouts, ensuring alignment with Field Operations Philosophy
•Coordinate access to the model via read-only platforms (e.g., Navisworks) and ensure fortnightly updates during execution
•Validate the completeness of the final 3D model package, including design databases, specifications, and macros
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
▪International and multi-cultural environment.
▪Position permanently based in EPSCC Contractor premises.
▪Frequent mission aboard.
DURATION / LOCATION
•Starting date: October 2026 (subject to FID)
•Duration: 1 year to 4 years after FPSO contract Award
•Renewable: Yes
•Location: Between 1 and 2 years in Paris – France, up to 18 months in Singapore, up to 18 months in Geoje – South Korea.
•Status: Residential
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
▪Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related technical field.
▪Minimum 10 years of experience in 3D modeling for offshore oil & gas projects, preferably FPSO.
▪Proficiency in 3D modeling platforms.
▪Strong understanding of layout ergonomics, safety design, and maintenance accessibility.
▪Experience in client-side roles within EPSCC project environments.
▪Excellent coordination and communication skills in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
