Description
As a Preservation & Logistic Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the proper preservation, handling, and logistics coordination of materials, equipment, and assets throughout their lifecycle.
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Develop and implement preservation and logistics plans for project materials and equipment.
• Ensure equipment and materials are properly received, handled, stored, preserved, and transported in accordance with project and manufacturer requirements.
• Coordinate material and equipment mobilization from vendor to warehouse/storage areas to the worksite.
• Perform and monitor periodic preservation activities for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
• Maintain preservation records, inspection checklists, and equipment preservation status.
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Warehouse, QA/QC, and vendors regarding material and equipment requirements.
• Monitor material availability and ensure timely delivery to support the construction schedule.
• Verify proper packing, lifting, transportation, and storage arrangements for equipment and materials.
• Identify damaged, missing, or improperly stored materials and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor preservation requirements during long-term storage, installation, and prior to commissioning.
• Maintain material traceability and support inventory and material reconciliation activities.
• Prepare preservation and logistics progress reports and highlight potential risks and ensure all preservation and logistics activities comply with project HSE requirements, specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
Experience:
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, Logistics, or related field.
• Total of 10 years' relevant working experience, including a minimum of 6 years specifically in logistics and/or procurement.
• Prior experience in preservation and handling of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation (MEI) equipment on an oil & gas, construction, or industrial project preferred.
• Experience coordinating with Construction, Engineering, Warehouse, and QA/QC teams.
